As a New Partnerships Intern with JMI Sports supporting the Kentucky Wildcats’ New Partnerships team, I assist in identifying, researching, and engaging potential advertisers and brand partners for Kentucky Basketball. My role focuses on prospect research and database management, analyzing local and regional businesses, advertising categories, and open sponsorship inventory to support partnership growth. I contribute to outreach preparation by drafting introductory emails, call scripts, and customized sales materials, and I assist with presentations and client meeting preparation. I also gain hands-on experience in collegiate sports sponsorship strategy through media landscape research in local TV and radio, partnership activation brainstorming, competitive market analysis, and game-day support for in-arena branding and partner activations.
Responsibilities Include:
Researching and identifying potential advertisers and partners aligned with Kentucky Basketball
Maintaining a prospecting database and analyzing sponsorship categories and inventory
Assisting with outreach materials, sales one-sheets, and customized partnership proposals
Conducting local TV and radio advertiser and competitor sponsorship research

In my role as Digital Media Strategy & Campus Marketing Intern, I support collegiate marketing and promotions efforts through digital media, social content creation, and brand activation support. I collaborate with campus and agency partners to strengthen brand presence, assist with marketing strategy, and contribute to digital campaigns aligned with student engagement goals. This position allows me to balance multiple leadership roles and internships while gaining hands-on experience in integrated marketing, digital media, and promotional strategy.
